I will always strive to produce content and curate communities that is/are inviting, accepting, and inclusive.
- I will not use language that demeans or belittles other people.
- I will treat everyone I interact with in a way that emphasizes respect and sees the best in their intentions.

I will not knowingly or willfully use genAI for any reason as it pertains to my online presence (Twitch streams, personal website, posts on social media, etc).
- I will not use assets for streams, games, or other produced works that were created by or derived from genAI.
- I will not use genAI for intermediary work, such as “developer art” in game development, references for art, or to assist with drafting messages.
- I will always strive to host my communities and produced works on ethical platforms that reduce risk of scraping or other genAI exploitation. If it is within my power, I will always prefer indie-web and self-hosted solutions over corporate solutions.
- I will turn off genAI responses in search engines.
- I may, with careful consideration, use software that was created in part with genAI code contributions.

I will protect and anonymize all data that might be collected as part of any game or product that I produce.
- For example, an online game that includes leaderboards (a user will be assigned a random identifier and no personally identifiable information will be collected or stored in a database).
- For example, a reward redemption form to claim a reward during a Twitch stream (the form will briefly store user’s name, email, and/or personal address; info will be promptly deleted once the reward has been sent.)
- For example, turning off mid-stream AI summaries of Twitch streams.
- Prompt deletion of any necessary personal data will always be prioritized to protect the anonymity of the user.

I will not produce content that encourages or is tangential to gambling.
- I will not make “pulls” or “wishes” on gacha game banners on streams or recorded videos.
- I will not open packs of trading card game cards on livestreams or recorded videos.
- I may, on occasion, share the results of these activities in “narrow” spaces - a specific subreddit, special channel on my Discord, etc.

There are a huge number of concerns that I have regarding these large-language models and their unethical use and implementation across all aspects of our online lives. In addition to making comments on genAI, I feel it is prudent to set forth for myself a comprehensive set of statements that will inform decisions I make as they regard “Fletch Makes Stuff” (basically anything I do online).
